Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, has scored a favourable increase in popularity in a poll that asks who out of Mr Abbott and Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, would be a better Prime Minister.
Mr Rudd's approval rating has dropped 5 points whilst Mr Abbott has leapt from 6% up to 23% in the space of a few days. Mr Turnbull was still Opposition Leader when the last poll was taken.
The party vote also shows the coalition making ground on the Labor Party.
This is a sign that some people have come to the conclusion that Labor's climate change agenda is getting on the nose. It will be interesting to see how Mr Abbott goes in the next poll.
