Let the bastards starve

Labor continues to allow its piss-weak policies on queue jumpers embarass Australia. The latest news is that all female boat people that were taken on board the Oceanic Viking are to engage in a hunger strike as a protest over Australia's refusal to allow them on the mainland.

Good - let them starve to death. I've no problem with that at all. If they are too stupid to accept Indonesia's unconditional offer of assistance then we should waste our time no further with them.

This issue digs a lot deeper than one load of boat people refusing to leave a rescue vessel however. What all this is, is an example of Labor's soft stance on queue jumping. The previous government's Pacific Solution was not only good policy but it was popular policy and it also worked. It stopped the flow of illegal arrivals dead in their tracks. Problem solved. Labor takes over from Liberal/National in late 2007 and the people smugglers decide to reopen their businesses that only John Howard had the guts to close down.

Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, is currently enroute to India to meet officials of the Indian Government. Yet another trip overseas for this travel junkie whilst political issues that could spark international incidents lie unresolved. Does Mr Rudd even care? Probably not. He's in new Dehli gorging on pappadums and dodgey vindaloo curries, all financed by the humble hard-working taxpayers.

I am sick of paying for Mr Rudd's dinner and travel arrangements whilst his work here at home lies unfinished due to soft policies implemented by Labor since November 2007.

When these boat people are arrested they should be sent straight home and told to not bother coming back. Australia takes more than its fair share of immigrants who have made the sacrifice of waiting their turn to come. We don't need the queue jumpers as well.

No Mattybull, I won't delete your post and you are wrong about the right of a queue jumper to live in Australia.

Australia has immigration laws and border protection laws. They must be followed to the letter for the purpose of national security and for the fact that some of Australia's cities cannot cope with the burden of having these people come here illegally, claim the dole, commit crimes and contribute to a decline in community standards and expectations.

Something that the Member for O'Connor, WA; Mr Wilson Tuckey; said the other day has been vindicated in Canada only days after he made the claim, which related to the possibility of boat people coming from terrorist backgrounds.

Everyone laughed at Mr Tuckey because he's getting old and does at times sound a bit eccentric. The trouble is, he's 100% right. Recently a load of boat people arrived on Canada's shores and one of them had direct links to Al Qaeda.

The fact is this. Labor's abolition of the Pacific Solution has put Australia at risk of allowing terrorists to enter the nation unvetted. Labor must reinvoke the Pacific Solution now and stop these bludging parasites jumping the immigration queues.

I've no problem with immigration. But those that want to live in Australia have to come here the legal way so our law enforcement organisations can be sure that none of them are coming here for destructive purposes.

Yes it is tough, but that is the age we live in. If it were up to me, I would board the Oceanic Sky myself, drag these people by the scruff of the neck onto an RAAF Hercules, fly them back over Sri Lanka, tie parachutes to them all and push them out the back door of the plane and this would include men, women and children. That would receive dim views from the loonies at the UN but it'd sure as hell solve the problem we are facing at the moment.

Harden the fuck up for Christ's sake. If you can't face up to the challenge of that you can always visit http://boat-people.org/ and purchase your boat people bag, complete with membership badge, member's flag and propaganda bumper stickers - seriously, people who go in for daft websites like that one should be committed to a lunatic asylum.
