Further to the previous thread about Labor's lack of commitment to public transport improvements and expansion I again refer you to The Sydney Morning Herald and another article on transport priorities.
I've been saying this for several years and a panel of 'experts' has finally mirrored my opinion. Here is the proof. Will NSW Labor listen? Probably not. Premier, Nathan Rees, is still licking his wounds over the debacle surrounding the NSW Government's new corporate logo which looks stupid and isn't what it is supposed to be.
Additionally, Labor is so entrenched by several white elephant projects that were drummed up without any community consultation, one of which being the CBD-Rozelle metro rail line that duplicates a light rail service and umpteen bus routes and the duplication of the Iron Cove Bridge, again a useless exercise and one that has butchered recreation parklands alongside the existing bridge.
When is Labor going to recommit to the two heavy rail projects that the Opposition has been campaigning for for years - they being the North West underground line from St James to Rouse Hill and the South West line from Central to Holsworthy? These rail lines serve areas where no public transport exists. Surely they should take priority over duplicate services in stalwart Labor electorates like Sydney and Balmain.

I'm from South Australia but I have read the story the article linked to and wonder what the hell NSW has in stall for it next. Clearly NSW needs a new government and SA isn't far behind.
John Howard's warning about wall to wall Labour governments looks like a good call. All of them are bloody hopeless. I also read that your premier is taking a holiday while his job is on the line. How does that work?
